Serving veterans across the state, the program provides local industry a front-row seat to connect with skilled graduates.

As Middle Georgia’s manufacturing sector expands, a valuable talent pipeline is taking shape at the Georgia VECTR Center in Warner Robins. Here, veterans are building on their military experience through Central Georgia Technical College’s AI Enhanced Robotic Manufacturing program, learning the latest in robotics, automation, and artificial intelligence. For local manufacturers and regional partners, it’s a direct connection to job-ready talent who understand both teamwork and technology.

Credentials That Matter to Employers

In just 17 semester credit hours, students earn a Technical Certificate of Credit and industry-recognized FANUC (Fuji Automatic Numerical Control) certifications, credentials that signal capability. Training is hands-on: programming industrial robots, troubleshooting smart systems, and applying AI and machine vision to real manufacturing challenges.

Veteran Talent: A Competitive Advantage for Manufacturers

For established manufacturers ready to modernize or advanced companies aiming to stay ahead, hiring veterans from VECTR’s program makes strategic sense. These graduates bring more than technical skills; they carry the discipline, adaptability, and leadership gained from their military service. “Veterans come into our program ready to learn and eager to contribute,” said Instructor Deryk Stoops. “They leave with expertise in robotics, automation, and AI – skills that help manufacturers be nimble and innovate.”

Since the program’s launch, 51 students have graduated, each prepared to make an immediate impact.

Opportunities for Employers to Connect Early

Regional businesses don’t have to wait until graduation to engage. Offering short job-shadowing opportunities lets manufacturers see how these veterans approach new technology and solve problems.
